Farm Fresh Bouquets

flower harvest season is upon us!

This week marks the start of our first CSA flower share season, and we’re thrilled to begin sharing these beautiful flowers with our members! We’ve still got space, so it’s not to late to add a weekly or every-other-week bouquet to your CSA membership. You can also join for just the flowers, so a vegetable CSA membership is not required to purchase a flower share.

One of the huge benefits of the flowers for the farm is adding to our crop diversity. We have a whole new range of plants to incorporate into our crop rotation, while also providing habitat and food sources for pollinators and other beneficial insects. Double Click Cosmos and Buckwheat now border our potato fields, and we’re already starting to see the benefits as this looks to be one of our healthiest crops of potatoes ever!

If the flower share is too much of a commitment, but you would still like to purchase some flowers, you can find us on the weekends at the Berea Farmers Market, Madison County Farmers Market (at White Oak Pond Church), and the Lexington Farmers Market (Downtown on Saturdays, Southland Dr on Sundays) with beautiful bouquets!
