SPROUTING LIMA BEAN

FROM THE FARMERS

After many failed attempts to roll down a cover crop and plant a crop, we’re hopeful that our last try will have good results. The biggest challenge in the project so far has been getting the cover crop rolled down at the correct time to get a complete kill. Although the cover crops appears to have dried down well, the worry now is that the seed heads on the rye will have enough reserve energy in the plants to produce viable seeds. At this point, the worst that could happen is we’ll have another beautiful field of rye!

Simply saute an onion in sesame oil. Chop napa, add after onions have browned, stir, cover, and watch. Continue to stir frequently. Ready to eat when it gets brighter green.
